The holidays are a busy time. And if you’ve ever found yourself Googling “easy appetizer recipes” you know it. It’s easy to go to the store and load up on packaged foods, but these appetizer and snack recipes can be made in minutes. So (slowly) back away from the box of frozen appetizers! You’ve got this.
Festive antipasto wreath. Grab some rosemary, a few olives, some cheese and cherry tomatoes and you have a party on a plate.
Roasted nuts or chestnuts. Who doesn’t want ‘chestnuts roasted over an open fire’ during the holidays? These snacks are sure to be the hit of any party and no need to tell anyone how easy they are to make. These make one of the very best cocktail snacks.
Warm roasted olives. With a touch of garlic, orange zest and some chili, these zippy warmed olives are delightful. Serve them with an assortment of crackers and cheese or on an appetizer platter.
Cheese straws. A package of puff pastry and a little cheese can take you far. Get creative with a little fresh thyme, garlic or rosemary to kick this quick appetizer up a few notches.
Popcorn with pop. This popcorn not only has melted butter, but the addition of fresh garlic, chili powder and nutritional yeast makes it a great pre-meal snack or with drinks.
And if you need some festive drink inspiration? My bet is you can’t go wrong with a Nordic Glögg or a small batch of homemade hot chocolate.
