We are celebrating 80 years of banking done differently with our biggest Annual General Meeting (AGM) and member gathering yet! At this year’s event, our lively Member Marketplace has expanded to include 20 planet first, future forward entrepreneurs making a difference with their food, home and environmental products. Wander through the booths and support these local, small business members.

In the Marketplace area, country, blues-rock artist Jimi performs live on stage, generating a magnetic backdrop for the light bites and refreshments served before the meeting. During the AGM, Vancity management and Board members will be in attendance to announce the election results and provide performance results. Time is allotted for members to ask specific questions of their representatives and to vote on important issues.

What to expect at this year’s AGM.
The formal meeting begins Monday, May 4, 2026, at 6:45 pm. You will learn the results of the Board of Directors elections, and hear highlights from the past year, including how your deposits are making a difference in your community. Votes on important issues that affect your credit union will also take place.
Ask the tough questions and be heard.
AGMs offer valued members a forum to hold our credit union accountable. Our Board of Directors and management will be present and keen to engage with members throughout the AGM event. They welcome your tough questions. Ask for details about how we’re supporting community or what the next year will have in store.

The Board is your voice at Vancity. In partnership with management, the Board, who represents the members, is responsible for the supervision of operations and for setting the strategic direction of the credit union.

We have taken steps to minimize impacts from our gathering and to make it accessible to all members. Bringing the event closer to home via community webcast events is one way to gather and still reduce travel. Members can also attend online and participate in the live feed. We thank everyone for considering their best option and putting the planet first. For all commuters, we encourage the use of public transit and carpooling. Please note that parking is very limited at the Sheraton and only onsite parking will be covered.
